Yoga Teacher Training Course
YTTC(I) is for the aspirants seeking the deeper levels of yogic evolvement based on the traditional Patanjali Ashtanga Yoga.
YTTC(II) the syllabus is based on Hatha yoga.
Asana Style for both TTC's is SIMPLE TRADITIONAL VINYAASA
CURRICULUM:
The syllabus follows 15 basic asanas and detailed pranayama sessions. Intensive practice of Surya namaskar and 5 Asanas with Pranayama in accordance with Bandhas and Mudras following the traditional rules. The participants practice under the personal guidance of Yoga instructors. Please do minimum 7 days advance booking and get confirmation. Seats are limited to five at a time. Course Prerequisites: The Yoga Teachers Training Course is an intensive four-week experience, demanding discipline and perseverance. Completion of the two weeks Path of Yoga vacation course or knowledge and regular practice of asanas and yogic philosophies are must. Individuals between 20-50 years can apply. A sincere desire to learn and openness to the teachings of yoga is required.
What is special about doing the course at Tulasidalam?
The training course is mainly aimed to help the aspirant evolve with personal yogic experiences. Only an experiencing yogi can be a yoga teacher and not just an asana instructor.
The number of the seats are limited for the purpose that every aspirant get very deep guidance at every step of the course. Once you complete Tulasidalam Yoga Teachers Training course you become a life long member of the yoga foundation availing facilities of the ashram which will be detailed on registration. On completion of the training course you are eligible to join the Sadhana course. So the courses offered by the school is a continuous path of yoga living.
Accommodation, food and facilities:
Shared accommodation(2 + 3) with cot, mattress, pillows, sheets and Mosquito nets. Women and men accomodation are separate.
Clean Bathrooms. Food provided will be kerala vegetarian dishes.
To maintain the purity and calm atmosphere of the center the students are required to avoid non-vegetarian food, narcotics, alcohol or cigarettes during the stay.
Routine:
7.00am -10.00am : Asana& meditation session (1)
10.10am:brunch ;
10.45am-service work;
11.30am-12.45 noon: yoga theories
1.00pm: tea and snacks ;
3.00pm-4.15pm:yoga workshops (2)
5.00pm-8.00pm :asana & pranayama session (3)
8.15pm :supper
Friday’s are days off. Tuesdays only(1) & (2) sessions.
Yoga mats are provided.
What to bring?:
Bring your personal items, towels, Mosquito lotions. You can bring comfortable fitting tops and stretchable pants for yoga practice. Do bring your favorite religious or non-religious scripture or book.
How to Register:
Put in a request by email to receive the application form and the course details. On acceptance of the applications please remit or transfer 25% of the donation 1 weeks before the course commences to get the seat reconfirmed.
How to reach Tulasidalam:
If you are coming to Trivandrum or Cochin airports you can take a taxi to the railway stations.
From there to THIRUVALLA. Pickups will be arranged from Thiruvalla railway station to the center which is 17kms.
From Trivandrum or Cochin airports the distances are approximately 155kms to Tulasidalam. You can also contact the center by email or phone to arrange your transportation to the center.
To check-in:
You have to reach the center the day before the course commences. Duly fill in the passport and visa details on arrival along with the C- form. Please complete the donation procedures on arrival to receive the vouchers of admission.
About the center:
The center was found by Shri Raman PiIlai 70 years before. With the vision to offer facilities for deep yoga studies the Tulasidalam School of Yoga Pada was opened by the ashram under the guidance of Sindu for all yogic aspirants in 2003 .
The classes are given in the traditional Gurukula samprthaya, where the student stays with the guide for the duration of study gaining the experience of YOGA not just in asanas but in all the steps of yoga, so the aspirant is ready to guide others properly.
The center is situated in a small village, Thelliyoor, which is blessed with green nature, peace and silence. All the modern amenities within your reach.
