Aarsha Samskara is the culture that was initiated ,developed and practiced by the Rishis(sages) through ages .This is one of the oldest cultures that is still practical and practiced .
According to this way of living the life span of a human is marked as four periods:
- Brahamacharyam
- Grihastham
- Vanaprastham
- Sanyasam
Mostly all the sages of Aarsha Bharatha(India) practiced all the four stages and they recommended this the best for people .Only a Very few can wade through the enticing waves of life to sanyas directly .
Brhamacharyam is childhood and the student period of our life where celibacy and self control is practiced as a way of conserving energy and concentration to learn the worldly and the spiritual texts and thoughts.
Grihastha-ashramam comes as the 2nd phase of human life .This period is given much importance as it’s the people at this phase who holds up the society culturally, traditionally and economically. So it’s a must that all the grihasthashrames are given guidance for the positive outlook .This starts with each person ,and then on to each couple.. each family…..community...society… and in each person physically…mentally…spiritually .
To put in simple words Ayurveda ,Yoga ,art-forms ,nature, chanting , walking …. all the Kriyaas and prakrithi form the part of life.
